Who is Meek?

order \"soup\" in Tokyo and prepare for THIS!

I’m a marketing consultant with a focus on the food and beverage industry in the United States. In addition to it being my career, I absolutely love all aspects of food, beverage and consumer products marketing – including the commercials!

After graduating university in 1992 I started at the very bottom of the corporate ladder and slowly, but steadily climbed up towards “the marketing department” as that was where the most laughs seemed to be coming from. I have worked on both sides of the street – client side and agency side – and keep a well-trained eye on TV commercials, print ads, additions/subtractions to the shelves of my local grocery stores, C-stores and mass retailers.

Come back often as I’ll be cycling through all the most interesting news in the food & beverage world and testing new products and expounding my thoughts with a humorous edge…funny to me, that is.

Got an idea for a product you wish me to test? Feel free to let me know.

  • Cool. I really enjoyed your humor. But, as I realized it’s a piece you take a chapter at a time. I kept reading for so long that I got hungry – and realized it was time for dinner. Which is interesting since I started just before lunch.

    Be good.

  • I was watching espn when an ad for the coors light cold activation bottle came on. I couldn’t believe it!
Because, I wrote a marketing paper in the fall semester of 2003 with the same exact idea.
I’m so pissed that my idea was used and I did’t get paid for it!!!

How can you knock a place you’ve never been? When Boston Market first opened in our area, I thought it was wonderful. It was then called Boston Chicken. Since that time, there was a new owner, and they started to add more variety. However, they also cut the portion sizes. I don’t think the quality (taste) of the foods is quite as good as before, either. So I don’t go as often as I used to, but now and then, I crave it. The food on the plate that was shown, is roasted (rotisserie) chicken. It is quite a bit smaller than it was when I first went there. Also looks like sweet potatoes (good), and some kind of greens. A little loaf of cornbread added, too, and it’s very good! The T.V. dinners are better than most other kinds.
Maybe you should go eat something there before you write about it.
      Might be surprised.

Boston Market used to be Boston Chicken. The food then was excellent! It also had much larger servings, too. Since they aquired a new owner, it was changed. They added more variety in food, but think they should have stayed the same. So I don’t go as often as I did. Think you should have tried it before knocking them.

By the way, the food on plate is roasted chicken (although much smaller than it used to be), good sweet potatoes, some kind of greens, and a delicious little loaf of cornbread.
